The story of the heart....

No matter how big and strong you get,
the heart remains tender and vulnerable to theft.
You can withstand the pain of a thousand needles,
but the heart can withstand a heartbreak.
Its might be a small thing for someone to leave,
but the one left dies of sorrow and grief.
A word or a sentence, can feel like a hammer,
when said by someone who has you heart.
Wounds of skin might heal in a day,
but the ones on the heart, for years they stay.
Once hurt, the heart takes time to recover,
and gets filled with hate for once the lover.
When its time to take revenge,
to hit them where it hurts the most.
The heart goes down the same old track,
the hate vanishes and the love comes back.
And then its the same story again,
the words are spoken and heart feels the pain.
So no matter how big and strong you get,
the heart remains tender and vulnerable to theft.
